Dr Pamela Ambler is a highly qualified and experienced clinical psychologist who provides services to children and adults in the Great Lakes and Hunter Valley regions.

Pamela offers psychological assessment and treatment for a wide range of issues, including depression, stress management, learning difficulties and behaviour problems, with a particular interest in the treatment of anxiety.

Pamela provides screening assessments and diagnostic assessments for autism spectrum disorders. Other psychological assessments available include IQ and achievement tests for all ages, behaviour assessments, and dementia assessments.

Pamela is registered with Medicare and with the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) for the provision of psychology services to veterans. She has had a close personal link with the Australian Defence Force for many years. Pamela is also a registered provider with DisabilityCare Australia for the National Disability Insurance Scheme.

Recent research

Pamela’s journal article, based on her recent research at the University of Newcastle,  was recently published in the peer-reviewed journal Research in Autism Spectrum Disorders.  The title of her paper is
